Hello! I’ll be using this month to learn everything I can about Monday.com, Pipedrive, and Capsule. The following videos and blog posts highlight what I learned in my process and the pros and cons of each software. Check out my weekly progress below!

As I head into the final week of my month-long project, my goal is to put the final touches on anything I may have overlooked. I will be editing out any final kinks and adapting the changes needed to make sure all of my blogs are on point and links are working properly. I will be posting all my final documentation links and reshooting them if necessary.

I’m glad I took this time to learn some new tech tools I had no prior experience with. In anticipation of the needs of a future job prospect, I wanted to learn how to use some of the most popular CRM’s. After thoroughly researching Monday.com, Pipedrive, and Capsule I can confidently say I could easily learn the specs of a new CRM in less than a week.

Why CRM’s Are Necessary

Everyone knows how important it is for a business to engage meaningfully with their customers to retain their interest. This is where CRM’s are the most impactful. You can integrate tools that provide surveys for customers to help you see how others view your brand. Applying these tools will help you anticipate customer issues and take the steps to be proactive rather than reactive.

CRM’s also provide a smooth engagement with customers, allowing feedback to shape the way you run your business. Having clear communication can be difficult with large teams. Every company, regardless of its size, would highly benefit from integrating a CRM to automate their workflow and have all information in one central location.

In addition to providing sales tracking, industry-specific CRM’s can help with analytics, marketing integration, and project management software. You can also apply data analysis, predictive analytics, and targeted marketing integrations to your CRM software. Having these features can drastically improve everything about a business.

How I Would’ve Changed My Process

Initially, I didn’t realize how many variables went into deciding which CRM would be the right fit for a company, much less that there would be simpler and more complex forms of CRM’s. If I could have the month to do over I would certainly take more time to individually learn about each tool before getting started. I may have been able to better use my time if I had known which software would require more exploring.

Nonetheless, I learned three of the most commonly used CRM’s. I wish I had been more diligent about setting time aside in case things came up that prevented me from doing all the required work I needed. Having extra time to work out any kinks will be something I’ll need to pay attention to in the future.

All in all, I’m proud of the things I’ve learned and the work I put in to dominate a skill entirely new to me. In the process I have adopted many new tools, know how to implement them and the many ways they can benefit a business. I can confidently say I could easily tackle another CRM in no time.
